We’re looking for a dedicated German-speaking colleague, preferably a student or freelancer, to help us serve our customers and market Smartplan.

Smartplan is a stable SaaS company from 2014, that has managed to preserve its initial Startup vibe (well, we are trying to). Our product is a user-friendly, low-priced workforce management tool. It helps small to medium size businesses with staff scheduling, time attendance, salary, communication with employees, absence management etc. We have been profitable from the beginning. We have no investors to answer to. We decide what we want to work on and how we want to work.

We have an office in Aarhus, Denmark, where we like to meet up, but most of us work remotely (using Basecamp and Slack). Most of our communication is async written communication in English and we keep meetings to a minimum. We believe this is the best way to work and have a calm but productive work environment without too many distractions and interruptions.
At Smartplan we believe the Customer Experience is the most important growth factor for our business. Everything we do is about improving that.
What we work on always aligns with the struggle and the job customers hire our product to do for them. Making this easier, better, faster, more efficient and painless is what we care most about.
A big share of your work will consist of Customer Support for our German customers. Most of the time this means basic email support, but sometimes it can also mean phone calls or product tours through video calls with our customers.
As you will be in direct contact with out customers, you will be able to identify the pain points that they might have during the onboarding phase. Therefore, documentation of ideas for improvement and the future development of the product will be in your area of responsibility, too.
Over time, we might slowly introduce you to other tasks, like keeping our Help Center and Website up to date, writing and translating blog articles or executing our SoMe ideas together with us.
